Princess Mia's Story:

Princess Mia’s story: This sweet pup was surrendered when COVID led to her owner losing their job and having to move in with their parents. Unfortunately Princess Mia wasn’t allowed to move with her so she was brought to ACC.

Her former family described her as, “Princess was described as friendly, mellow, and independent. Her previous owners favorite thing about her is that she is so calm and loving. Princess’ favorite activity is walking and going outside. She enjoys being in grass. When in the home Princess tends to stay in her favorite spot. Her favorite toys are balls and chew bones. She sleeps in a dog bed. Her favorite treats are pig ears and chicken waffles. When left alone in the home Princess is well behaved. Princess knows commands such as sit, stay, down, and come. For exercise Princess is used to slow walks on the leash and occasionally off leash twice a week. On the leash Princess pulls lightly. When off leash she wanders but comes when called.”

Princess Mia’s foster writes, “In the morning I call Princess Mia, she is snoozing in her bed, looks up and wags her tail. She doesn’t seem used to her name but enjoys the attention and shows that with a big smile and wagging tail. She loves to go for walks, especially in the grass, and sits down calmly to put her leash on. Princess Mia is a very relaxed dog in the house; while she enjoys hanging out next to you, she is also ok to chill at a quiet spot herself. At night, she moves into her bed when asked, and just goes asleep. She is not vocal, and also seems to be good when left alone in the house. Princess Mia is very appreciative of attention and affection. She will directly sit down next to you and leans in to be petted. She is a beautiful girl with soft, sandy fur and grey muzzle and ears. She is ready for the next new positive chapter in her life, in a home that shares her love for snuggling. She is an absolute pleasure to have in the house. She is very affectionate and loves being petted, caressed and cuddling with people. She listens to commands. She walks well on the leash (pulled pretty hard on the first day but has calmed down significantly unless squirrels are involved).”
