Navy's Story:

Navy’s story: Navy was found tied to a pole and was taken home by the finder for three days before being brought to ACC. The finder stated that Navy enjoyed being bathed and brushed, and that he was friendly towards people approaching the home. ACC’s Canine Behavior Team worked with Navy on clicker training. He was cued to sit and rewarded when we succeeded. After several minutes of training, he was given several squeaky toys to play with. He tossed, bounced and shook the toy. He eventually laid down and ripped the stuffing out of toys. He willing trade the toys for high value treats. Navy’s foster family writes, “Navy is so full of life and brings everyone so much joy! I fell in love with this wonderful pup so quickly. He’s one of the most handsome, loyal, and lovable dogs you will ever meet. Along with his good looks he has the best manners and is so affectionate. He’s fully house trained and can be easily taught where to pee and poop outside. He loves to run, play fetch (he even drops balls on command). Navy so well behaved and calm when I’m on calls during the day. He knows basic commands (sit, paw, lie down, stay), and is always keen to learn more – he’s very smart and a quick learner. By day he’s a strong, energetic dog, and by night he’s a mush who loves nothing more than to cuddle on the couch. He loves to sleep in my bed but is completely fine sleeping in his own bed as well – his funny snores are incredibly endearing.”
