Monsieur's Story:

Monsieur’s story: Monsieur was surrendered when his family unfortunately had to move to an apartment that didn’t allow pets. They described Monsieur as as friendly, playful, shy, mellow, and independent. He loves to play fetch and tug. When someone is home, he will follow them around, be in the same room as them, stay in his favorite spot, or rarely seek attention. He will play with toy balls and bones. Monsieur has been kept mostly indoors and will sleep in his bed. He has been fed a no grain diet of wet and dry food twice a day. He is mostly potty trained and rarely has accidents. He will use the potty on grass and when left home alone in the home, he is well behaved. He has never been left alone in the yard and does well in a crate for a few hours. Monsieur responds to sit, come, and his name. He will go on brisk walks on the leash, slow walks on the leash, or running for exercise. Monsieur will pull lightly when on the leash and when off the leash he will stay close by the owner’s side or wander some but come when called. A volunteer writes, “This handsome guy is Monsieur and his name suits him. He has lovely manners, he’s friendly, and he knows how to have a good time. What a catch! Speaking of catch, we had so much fun playing with this bonhomme. He’s excellent at fetch and we played “drop and swap” with two tennis balls until we were both tuckered out. Then, Monsieur found a shady place to relax and just enjoy being outside. Monsieur is a 5-year-old fellow whose previous owner says he likes h’ors d’oeurves like beef jerky, carrots and celery. He’s a little shy with new people, but warms up quickly. And he’s tres intelligente! Monsieur is house trained, crate trained and knows cues like “sit” and “come” (and “drop it” if our fetch session is any indicator). No word on how he feels about other dogs or if he knows any French, but we think Monsieur is pretty fantastique! He’s available for foster or adoption. Go see him at the ACC tout suite!”
