King's Story:

King’s story: King was surrendered when his family unfortunately had a family emergency and was forced to move out of state. King’s foster writes, “King is a 7 year old gentleman with the energy of a 6 month old and spirit like sunshine. Always ready for a game of catch or a walk in the park, King with his soft glistening coat is quite the show stopper – joggers, cyclists and other dog parents have stopped to comment on what a beautiful puppy King is. So factor in extra time on walks for handling fans. He’s fully house trained and will nudge you politely on walks to remind you he’s been a good boy and hence deserves a reward. He can sit, give paw, go sleep on his bed in the bedroom when Mommy’s calls are disturbing his zen. He will bring his toys to play with you but will understand if you can’t play fetch or tug 24/7. As with royalties, King is a bit selective about socializing with canine commoners, but he’s learning to not let his crown come in the way of making doggy friends. King will do well as an only pet in a home that can be patient with him and let him show you what an affectionate loyal dog he is. He’s a beautiful and an intelligent pup who will only bring joy and laughs to your lives.”

A volunteer writes, “We’re all trying to adapt to the ‘new normal’ and King is a friendly brindle babe courageously making the journey along with us. He’s 7 years old but still sprightly as a puppy, a great match for an active adopter with the patience to let him adjust at his own pace. You’ll never lack for a running partner or work from home sidekick as long as King’s on the job and his previous owner describes him as ‘affectionate and highly excitable’ and ‘a great and loyal dog’. His favorite treats include peanut butter, apples, and carrots, and he enjoys long walks through the park where there’s plenty to see and sniff. He’s not so keen on the company of fellow pups and prefers to keep his food to himself so a home with no young children or other dogs would be ideal. King just can’t wait to meet his new family, please consider opening your heart to this deserving boy today.”
